Graceville (1-5) at Vernon (2-4) 7 pm

Tiger_LogoThe Graceville Tigers tasted victory for the first time of the season last week in a 20-14 win on the road at South Walton. Darae Laster rushed for over 100 yards for the second straight week while Rasheed Campbell scored once and Allante Oliver-Barnes scored twice to lead the Tigers to victory. They'll be back on the road this week but just down the road at Vernon. The Yellow Jackets have had a tough season as well, with their two wins coming against Wewahitchka and Cottondale. Their losses have come to Chipley, Bozeman, Liberty and Holmes County.

Sneads (4-3) at Wewahitchka (5-2) 7 pm

SNEADS_LOGOThe Pirates fell to Baker last Friday by a score of 35-13. Even more costly for the Pirates was to see star running back Tre Keys carried off the field and taken to the hospital with a knee injury. Keys will not suit up for this week's important district match up. Sneads is 2-0 in district play and will take on a Wewa team that is 2-1 in district play. A Pirate win assured them of a playoff berth while a loss puts them in a must win situation later when they play Vernon. The Gators are a team that have gotten hot at the right time of the year. They started the season 0-2 with losses to Port St. Joe and Vernon. Since that time they have reeled off five straight victories. Those five wins came against Munroe, Cottondale, Franklin County, Graceville and John Paul Catholic. While those five teams have a combined record of 7-25 the Gators have the confidence that comes with winning five straight.

Cottondale (0-7) – Open Date

Cottondale_Hornet_VarsityThe Hornets fell last week 34-12 to the Royals of Jay. It was the fourth time this season that the Hornets have put 12 points on the board. They have this week off as they prepare for next week's contest against Holmes County. That game will be played in Bonifay and the Blue Devils have their best team in years as they are 6-0 and host winless South Walton this week.
