Willie G. Riley

Mr. Willie G. Riley a resident of Port St. Joe, FL went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 9th. He was 84.

Mr. Riley was born on December 26, 1927 in Natchez, Alabama to the late Ellis and Mandy Riley. He was the baby of nine children. He was affectionately known as "Peanut", "Boss Man", "Brown Skin" and "Riley".

He later moved to Port St. Joe, FL in 1952. He was employed and later retired from Saint Joe Paper Company in September 1998, after 42 years of dedicated service.

Throughout Willie's life he was a loving and caring person who loved his family and people dearly. Willie was married to the late Virgie Mae Riley. To this union eight children were born.

He leaves to mourn and cherish in loving memories his children: Ethel Rose Matthews of Tucson, AZ, Mildred Ann Riley (Walter) of Forestville, MD, Barbara Jean Riley of Port St. Joe, FL, Matilda Stevenson of Pensacola, FL, Willie Stanford Riley, Jr., (Patricia) of Port St. Joe, FL, Vincent Edward Riley of Port St. Joe, FL, Melvin Anthony Riley (Venola) of Dothan, Alabama, and Bea Renee Walton (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL; one goddaughter, Donna of Port St. Joe, FL; one brother: Roosevelt Riley of Jacksonville, FL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.

Funeral services were held 11AM (EST), Saturday, February 18th at The Body of Christ Jesus Church in Port St. Joe, FL. Interment followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Port St. Joe, Fl under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville.
