Russell B. Jones

Russell B. Jones of Dothan and formerly of Graceville, FL went home to be with the Lord on December 12th at his residence in Dothan.

Funeral services will be held 11AM, Wed. Dec. 21st at the New Easter Missionary Baptist Church in Graceville with Rev. Brandon Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Graceville Community Cemetery under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville (850) 263-6834.

Russell Bernard Jones was born on August 20, 1960 to the late Roy Lee and Inie Ree Jones.

At an early age, he joined New Easter Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Dothan he joined First Missionary Baptist Church. He received his elementary and secondary education from Graceville Elementary School and Graceville High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy Lee Jones and Inie Ree Jones; one aunt: Mary Nell Hargrove; one uncle: Walter Ables, Sr.; two brothers: Edward Lynn Jones and Henry Fred Jones; one special and devoted sister who was like a mother to him, Margaret Alice Jones Johnson.

Those who will forever miss him include his son: DeRyan Fadarick Jones; his brothers: Cary C. Lewis, James Jones (Penelope) and Willie R. Jones; sister: Margie Gillette (Tarvis); aunts and uncles: Sarah (E.W.) Cooper and Clyde Ables (Mamie); three grandchildren: LaNiya Regina Jones, Jayden Lee Phillips and Tru Alexander Jones; a special nephew: Rochester Johnson, Jr.; special nieces: Carolyn Hearns, Celeste Morehead (William), Rochelle Johnson and Teneshia Warner (Michael), a special cousin like a brother; Jeffery Cooper (Cassandra); and a special friend: Jimmy Lee Griggs; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
