Ayleen Faira inks scholarship to Chattahoochee Valley

Sneads High School softball standout Ayleen Faria has made her choice to move on up after graduation in the spring from SHS.  She signed on the dotted line last Thursday in front of family, friends, teammates, and school faculty.

She will complete her senior season at Sneads with her Lady Pirates before moving up to the next level.  Faria is expected to make an immediate impact on the Chattahoochee Valley Community College’s softball team.

After a brief stint on the junior varsity team her freshman year, she quickly moved to varsity where she anchored a spot in the outfield.  She will be catching for Chattahoochee Valley.

The coach who’s seen her on the field throughout her high school years summed it up in a nutshell, Shawn Graham said, “she has the makeup of a champion.  She swings a bat with power and pop. To be honest with you, I believe they’re getting a diamond in the rough.  She is a very good athlete, good student who is very versatile and smart in the field.”

Congratulations to Ayleen Faria from the publisher and staff of the Jackson County Times on your signing to ‘move on up’.
