The Sneads Lady Pirates have given new meaning to the word domination.  Thursday night, Sneads showed their determination once again to win a fifth straight state championship.  When teams are sometimes caught ‘looking’ down the road, Sneads was focused on the challenge at hand and they wasted little time in showing Baker they were in it to win it.   The Lady Pirates took the game in three sets.

Set one was the ‘tightest’ match of the evening and it was a 10-point differential with Sneads winning 25-15.  The Lady Pirates crushed Baker in set two 25-10 before coasting to the win 25-13 in the final set.

The win gives Sneads the home court advantage for the next step in route to the championship game on November 17.  They will host Blountstown Saturday, November 11 at 2 p.m. at the Sneads gym.

In previous matches this year, Sneads handed the Lady Tigers a three-set loss on September 19.  They won 25-14, 25-9, and 25-8.

On October 9, they defeated Blountstown 25-13, 25-19, and 25-12.  Blountstown comes in to Saturday’s match boasting a 21-7 record, having won four straight games since October 17.   Sneads’ record is 24-4 and 6-0 in district.  Their last loss came on October 3 to Chiles out of Tallahassee.

Everyone is encouraged to come out early Saturday and cheer the Lady Pirates on to a victory.  Game time is 2:00 p.m.
