MMS Cross County competes at Big Bend Invitational

The MMS Cross Country team began their season last Saturday at the 2018 Big Bend Cross Country Invitational in Tallahassee.  

On the boys’ side of the meet, the highlight of the meet was Lacliffton Johnson placing fifth overall with a time of 12:50.60

Finishing in 47th was Ritchie Barnes with a time of 15:57.30, followed by Patrick Carrel in the 63rd spot with a time of 18:02.20.  Jayden Catrett was close behind in 65th with a time of 18:42,10 and what a difference a second makes, Cameron Allen in 66th in 18:43.10.  Lucas Walker took 72nd in 20:27.89. 

The top MMS finisher in the girls’ division was Alayna Sims who took 28th place in 16:13.60, with Maggie Rehberg finishing in 48th in 18:52.30. Coming in 57th was Jasmine Jones with a time of 20:42.50, while Zoe Saunders was 74th in 24:42.50 with Gracie Spears right on her heels in 25:02.10.  Taking 78th was Helen Sarah in 27:50.80.

Marianna Middle School cross country teams (both boys and girls) placed eighth overall in their respective meets.
