Marianna wins tournament with 14-0 win over Franklin County

The Marianna Lady Bulldogs had a goal in mind when they gave up their weekend time to participate in a softball tournament. They outscored their opponents 44-4 in the four games, with three of those shutout games. Chloe Temples, Ashlyn Weirman, and Anni Beebe took control of the games in the circle and the offense did the rest.  In the final game, it was Chloe Temples going the distance, giving up no runs on one hit and one walk while fanning an even 10 batters of the 17 she faced. 

Marianna scored early and scored often with four runs in the first, three in the second, five in the third and wound it up with two in the fifth.

Gabby Bess had four hits, five RBIs, and two runs scored, with Deana Holland right behind her with three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. Anni Beebe had three hits, one run scored and one RBI on the day. Temples added two hits, a reach on an error, a walk, RBI and run scored to her stats. Lauren Brock, had one hit, one RBI, and two runs scored, followed by Jayden Sorey, Ashtyn Jeter, and Kennedy Harris all with one hit each.  Brock, Beebe, and Jeter all recorded a double at the plate. 

The Lady Bulldogs boarded the yellow dog with the hardware and a bus load of smiles for the trip back home to Marianna!
