Lady Bullpups run over Surfside 18-1

Marianna took control of the game early and never looked back as they traveled to Arnold High School Friday evening to take on Surfside Middle School.  They handed them an 18-1 loss. Amari Brown started in the circle and went two innings, giving up no runs on one walk, no hits, and fanned six batters.  Ella Rooks came on for one inning, giving up one run on no hits, no walks, one hit batter, and struck out one batter.  Aubrie Hinson closed out the final inning, giving up no runs on one walk, no hits, and sat one batter down on strikes. 

Marianna picked up five runs in the first and second innings, three in the third and five in the fourth inning. Mattie Rooks picked up two hits out of two at bats and scored three runs. Jade Hendrix and Lashaina Harvey both had two out of two hits and two runs scored, with Amari Brown picking up one hit and scoring two runs. 

Jasmine Bess and Jailey Gray both had one hit in one at bat and scored one run. Olivia Spooner had one hit in one at bat and scored one run, with Ella Rooks and Kaitlyn Strickland scoring one run each. Angel Curry and Lexie Spooner scored two runs each.
