The Sneads Lady Pirates softball team had two pitchers combine for three base runners, none off of a hit to dominate the Lady Tigers last week and hand them a 12-0 loss.  Marissa Baxter was stellar for three innings, allowing one walk with one reaching on an error, while she fanned five batters.  Hannah Stephens came on for the final three innings, gave up no runs, allowed one walk, and struck out two batters.

Sneads plated three runs in the first inning that started with Abby McIntosh singling and moving to second on a single by Marissa Baxter with just one out. Both runners stole a base with Abbie Perkins drawing a walk to load the bases.  McIntosh scored on a wild pitch with the other two runners advancing. Ayleen Faria was hit by a pitch to load the bases a second time before a walk to Kiara Garrett scored Baxter.  Two outs followed to end the inning.

In the second inning, a one-out double by Michaela Edenfield went for nil with her not being able to score before the inning ended. The Lady Pirates added one run in the third inning when Aylee Faria reached on an error with one out and moved to second on a wild pitch. A double by Kiara Garrett scored Faria. Najah Dudley reached on an error but a double play ended the inning with the Lady Pirates leading 4-0.

Sneads added two runs in the fourth. Abby McIntosh singled and moved to second when Michaela Edenfield reached on an error. Marissa Baxter helped herself out with an RBI double that caught Edenfield trying for third. Abbie Perkins drew a walk with an error allowing Baxter to cross home plate before a flyout ended the inning.

It was another two-run inning in the fifth to take an 8-0 lead. Kiara Garrett led off with a single, stole second and moved to third on a wild pitch. Najah Dudley drew a walk, stole second with Garrett stealing home.  A double by Georgia Scott scored Dudley for the last run of the inning.

The wheels came completely off in the sixth inning for the Lady Tigers with Sneads plating four runs. With one out, Marissa Baxter singled and moved to second on a passed ball. Abbie Perkins reached on an error that put Baxter at third. Ayleen Faria drew a walk with Baxter scoring on a passed ball. A walk to Karia Garrett was followed by Najah Dudley drawing a walk.  Amber Clark singled home the final runs of the inning and the game.
