The annual Jackson County Cattlemen's Association members' Banquet will be held Thursday, January 17, 2018 at the Ag Complex on Penn Avenue.  Time is 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. for a pre-banquet social time.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Eat dinner once a month in Bascom, FL. Plan ahead for a family dinner on the third Friday of the month at the Bascom Town Hall (4969 Basswood Road in Bascom). Each month there will be a new menu. Circle your calendar for the third Friday of each month for a delicious treat... and support the Bascom School Renovation Project. We’re turning a 90-year old three-room school house into a functioning cultural and community center for the tri-state northeast corner of Jackson County. Chipola will host the Future Business Leaders of America District II Competition award ceremony in the college Cultural Center.  The Chipola School of Business and Technology hosted approximately 70 students for their qualifying performance events.  Approximately 250 high school and middle school students will be on campus for this ceremony.  Winners will be eligible to attend the state competition in March in Orlando.  The highest placing winners of the state competition will then be eligible for the national competition in San Antonio, TX.

Sexual Assault Survivors Group - hosted by Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program for ages 18 and above first & third Thursdays of each month in 2018. Location: Gulf Coast SAP Program office 2901 Madison St., Marianna from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Refreshments provided.  The purpose of this group is to provide support for adult survivors of sexual assault and those who were sexually abused as children. Survivors will be provided an atmosphere that helps them gain an understanding about sexual assault and how it has affected their lives. This group will create an empowering environment where participants can learn new coping skills, identify personal goals and build relationships.
