Myrna D. Serrano

Myrna D. Serrano age 51 of Graceville passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. She was born on January 5, 1967 in Puerto Rico. Myrna was of the Catholic Faith and spent many years living and working in Reading, Pennsylvania before moving to Graceville. She loved to spend time on the Florida beaches collecting sea shells. Myrna also enjoyed arts and crafts.

Myrna is survived by her husband Antonio; children, Stephen, Anthony, Louis, Jessica, Tony, and one granddaughter Lyla.

A memorial service will be held in Reading, Pennsylvania at a later date.

Ida Faye Carlson

Ida Faye Carlson age 79 of Graceville passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born in Duneaton, Florida on July 2, 1938.Ida has been a resident of Graceville since 2003, coming from Lutz, Florida. She enjoyed gardening in her flower beds and painting.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband John Carlson; parents John and Sally Faircloth; sons, Lynwood Majors and Charles Author Majors; grandson, Ryan Majors.

She is survived by her son, John Majors; grandchildren, John Jr. Majors, Jordan Majors, Nicole Granger, Charles Majors, Lance Majors, Seth majors, Michael Majors, Matthew Majors, Kasey Majors and a host of great grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Nick Chisler officiating.

Cecil Clyde Turner

Cecil Clyde Turner died on May 19, 2018, with his daughter, Roberta at his side, in Panama City Beach, Florida. 

Mr. Turner was born on February 20, 1929, in Chatom, Alabama. He was a resident of Mobile, Alabama, a Professional Land Surveyor, and civil engineer working at the Mobile Housing Board until his retirement. Mr. Turner helped develop the water works system on Dauphin Island, managed the urban renewal program for the Mobile Housing Board during the construction of Interstate 65. Mr. Turner spent his off time operating his private land surveying business from his home, especially enjoying those jobs in the “deep woods” of south Alabama. Prior to his retirement as a Professional Land Surveyor, he surveyed property in Ft. Payne, Alabama, for Russel Miles and Company. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Cecil Simmons Turner, his parents, and siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Roberta Turner Newell, husband James, grandson, Andrew Allen Newell, Granddaughter in Law, Kelsie Leanne Newell, and Granddaughter, Tiffany Kay Newell. Mr. Turner enjoyed his retirement years by living with his daughter, caring for his grandchildren, and gardening. Mr. Turner loved his family, his work, his friends, and the deep woods.

A graveside service will be conducted on May 23, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Magnolia Cemetery, 1202 Virginia Street, Mobile, Alabama.

T. J. Chumney

T.J. Chumney age 39 of Rehobeth, Alabama passed away on May 12, 2018. He was born in Dothan, Alabama on November 16, 1978.

He is survived by his father John Chumney; mother Patricia Senn; daughter Alexus and one brother, Nick.

Funeral Services for T.J. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the Williams Funeral Home with Brother Greg Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Madrid City Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. 

The family invites everyone to join them after the funeral for a time of fellowship at 345 Oscar Godwin  Road, Dothan, AL 36301
