William Paramore

Mr. William Paramore, affectionately known as “Boy”, departed this life on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Chipola Nursing Pavilion in Marianna, Florida.

Homegoing services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna, Florida where Reverend George Williams is pastor. Prophet Billy White and Bishop Steve Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Paramore will lie in state on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 12:00 pm until time for the service. 

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish precious memories:

Doris B. Herring

Dr. Doris B. Herring of Bascom, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Jackson Hospital, Marianna, Florida. 

She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church of Marianna, Florida and New Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Bascom, Florida.

Funeral service for Dr. Doris B. Herring was held Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Vann Funeral Home Chapel, located at 4265 Saint Andrews Street, Marianna, FL 32448. The Rev. Wallace Bowers, Rev. Warren L. Bowers and Dr. Mirion P. Bowers, Presiding.

Vann Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Herring was in repose at Vann Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Brenda Joyce McKay

Ms. Brenda Joyce McKay, affectionately called “Binky” of Dothan, Alabama, formerly of Marianna, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, September 22, 2018, in Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

Funeral services for Ms. Brenda McKay was held Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11 A.M. at Sunrise Worship Center, located at 2645 Pebble Hill Road, Marianna, Florida 32448.  

Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Malone, Florida.

Vann Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The viewing was held Friday, September 28, 2018, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M at Vann Funeral Home.

Jimmy J. Bryant

Mr. Jimmy J. Bryant, age 28, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Marianna, FL, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on September 13, 2018 in Ft. Myers, FL.

He was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and received his G.E.D. from Jackson County FL School System.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Martin, Prophet Billy White, Rev. Riley J. Henderson, Pastor and Rev. Michael Jones Officiating.

Interment will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Bainbridge, GA.

Vann Funeral Home will be in charge of the service.

The viewing will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Vann Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryant will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service.
