Roberta Daniels

Ms. Robertha Daniels, 59, of Greenwood, Florida went home to be with the Lord on March 3, 2019 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida.

She was born December 13, 1959 to Ida Mae Daniels and the late Chesterfield Daniels. She was a native of Jackson County and a member of Greenwood Chapel AME Church in Greenwood, Florida.

She is survived by her children, Ida Daniels and Aaron Aydelotte (Kimberley); her mother, Ida Mae Daniels; two brothers: Willie Roy Daniels and Edward Daniels; two sisters: Shirley Pittman and Gloria Highsmith; ten grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3-6 PM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Greenwood Chapel AME Church in Greenwood, FL with the Reverend Blanche Godwin, pastor, officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Greenwood, FL under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, FL.

George Barnes

Mr. George Barnes of Marianna, Florida went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2019.

He was a member of Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna and the son of the late Josephine and Charlie Barnes of Marianna, Florida. He was a 1981 graduate of Marianna Adult Education.

Mr. Barnes was a longtime employee of Riverside Elementary School. He was loved by the students and staff of the school and will be missed.

He may have lost his battle to cancer, but he won his crown. He loved the Lord, his family, and his Riverside family. The hallway in the front is lined with notes from our children that loved him so much.

He was the 13th child born to his loving parents. Four siblings preceded him in death: Reverend Harold H. Wynn, Sr., Eleanor W. Copeland, Charlie Barnes, Jr., and Tommie M. Barnes.

George joined Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. A. H. Parker.

A graduate of Marianna Adult Education in 1981.

He was employed by the Jackson County School Board with Riverside Elementary School being his base station. At Riverside, George was deeply loved at Riverside by both students and faculty. He was very dependable and loved Riverside as if they were a part of his family. He will be sadly missed at the school as a custodian. He was a great lawn man. He kept Saint Luke grounds looking good and just about every Sunday morning you would see him blowing the leaves. He loved his jobs and he was always trying to make sure everybody was happy with his work.

He is survived by wife: Diane Barnes; children: Mick, Erica and Xavier; grandchildren: Kemarien, Xavion, Paetyn, Cassie and Avery; siblings: Aggie Wynn, Barbara B. Williams (Nathaniel), Emma Spires, Randy D. Barnes, Janice Barnes, Emelda Davis, Timothy C. Barnes (Tina), Daphne R. Freeman (Raymond) and Marjan L. Green (Horace); sisters and brothers-in-law: Shirley Sims, Lora Keys, Ronnie Elijah, Lonnie Elijah, Steve McNealy (Renia) and Robert Keys (Cynthia); sister-in-law: Julia Wynn; aunts and uncles: Christell Keys, Barbara Wilson (Reverend Richard) and Joseph Harrington; goddaughter, Natalie Spires; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including his Riverside Elementary School family.

Betty Pittman Jackson

Mrs. Betty Pittman Jackson age 72, of Orlando, Florida and formerly of Campbellton, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 11, 2019 in Orlando at the Orlando Health Care Center.

She was a native of Jackson County, attended Saint Paul High School, a former member of the Saint Paul A. M. E. Church and the daughter of the late Robert and Queen Pittman of Campbellton, Florida. Betty was one of twelve children.

She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and being in the company of family. She was a faithful member of True Vine Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board as the President. She was employed at Regal Boat Company for 32 years and retired in 2011.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories two children: Rose Myers of Orlando, Florida and Clarence Jackson of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren: Clarence Jackson III, Clive Myers, Laporchia Jackson Pryor (Leandra) and Jared Clemons; ten great grandchildren; a sister and brother: Maybell Cook and James (Tonya) Pittman all of Campbellton, Florida; three sisters-in-law: Charity Jackson of Orlando, Florida, Lessley B. Pittman of Orlando, Florida and Gladys Pittman of Campbellton, Florida; nieces: Teresa Session Burden, Queen Session and Earlene Curry Williams; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; godson: Climira (Aurelia) Robbins; goddaughter: Tasha Fields of Orlando, Florida; committed loved one: Shirley Gain.

Funeral services were held at 11 AM, Saturday, February 23, 2019, in the M. Sue & Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel in Graceville, Florida with the Reverend Curtis Pittman eulogist.

Mrs. Jackson was laid to rest in the Saint Paul/New Bethel Cemetery in Campbellton, Florida under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville.

Clifford Lynn Curry

In his 74th season of life, Mr. Clifford Lynn Curry of Graceville, Florida slept away in death, to be awakened in the bosom of Jesus on Saturday, January 16, 2019.

Clifford Lynn Curry was born on, January 18, 1945 to Sherman Sr., and Earline Cox Curry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Jessie Mae Curry; eight siblings: Inez Curry Ramsey, Minnie Sheffield, Mary Peterson, Johnnie Mae Curry, Frank Curry, Carlton Ray Curry, James Jerome Curry, Jimmy Lee Curry and Betty Jean Curry; 

He is survived by five brothers: Sherman (Veryl) Curry, Elkay Curry both of Chipley, Florida, Danny (Jewellene) Curry of Miami, Florida, John Curry of Graceville, and Willie Charles Nix of Ocala, Florida; ten sisters: Maggie Laster, Hilda (John) McClendon both of Graceville, Florida, Josephine Curry of Noma, Florida, Ann Curry, Frankie Curry, Betty Marshall, Juline Gardner, Sharon Curry all of Chipley, Florida, Gloria Nix of Dade City, Florida and Laura McClain of Youngstown, Ohio.

A celebration of life will be held at 5 O’clock Post Meridiem, Sunday, March 10, 2019, in the M. Sue and Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, Graceville, FL.
