Jeremiah Dwayne Holmes

Jeremiah Dwayne Holmes, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2018 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was 23 years old. 

Jeremiah was born on August 18, 1995 to Donna and the late Jerrell Holmes in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.  He attended the public-school system of Walton County, graduating from Walton High School, Class of 2014.  Jeremiah loved his church and was a faithful member of the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.  He was employed with Wal-Mart in DeFuniak Springs, Florida as a Sales Associate.  His loving smile and electric personality will be always remembered. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother:  Donna Holmes (Harry, special friend) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; grandfather: John Holmes, Sr., of Chipley, Florida; aunts: Sue Gundry (Nathan), Janice Holmes, both of Freeport, Florida, and Patricia Lane of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; uncles: Jarvis Holmes (Marsha) of Freeport, Florida, John Holmes (Pam) and Jeff Holmes, both of Chipley, Florida; along with a host of other relatives and friends. 

A Celebration of Jeremiah’s Life will be held 11 AM CST, Saturday, September 22, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church with pastor, Rev. A.M. Johnson, officiating.  Committal Services will follow in the Euchee Valley Cemetery of Argyle, Florida with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing. 

Public Viewing will be held from 10 AM – 8 PM, Friday, September 21, 2018 in the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel of Chipley, Florida.  The remains will lie in repose 1hr prior to services at the church on Saturday.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com.

Keith Derrell Edwards

Keith Derrell Edwards, of Ebro, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2018 in the Bay Medical Care Center Hospice of Panama City, Florida.  He was 47 years old. 

Keith was born on December 30, 1970 to Pearlie (Bland) Edwards and the late Thomas Edwards in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  He was a faithful member of the Spirit Filled Church of God In Christ in Caryville, Florida.  Keith was a lovable person, always having a smile on his face.  Never meeting a stranger, he always had something positive to say when he cam encounter with you. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother: Pearlie Edwards (Larry) of Ebro, Florida; son: Phillip Keith Edwards of Amesbury, Massachusetts; three (3) daughters: Heidi Edwards of Vernon, Florida, Alice Hathaway (Trey) of Chipley, Florida, and Sariah Edwards of Crestview, Florida; three (3) brothers: Kenneth Edwards (Carol) of Vernon, Florida, Tracy Edwards (Denise) of Apollo Beach, Florida, and Trevor Edwards of Ebro, Florida; his only sister who preceded him in death: Rev. Myra Andrews (John); along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

A Celebration of Keith’s Life will be held 3 PM CST, Saturday, September 22, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Wausau Assembly of God in Wausau, Florida with pastor, Rev. Danny Burns, Elder Tony Howard and Jr. Bishop Willie A. Potter, officiating.  Committal Service will follow in the St. Luke Memorial Gardens on Vernon, Florida with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing.  

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM CST, Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Wausau Assembly of God in Wausau, Florida.  The remains will lie in repose 1hr prior to services at the church Saturday.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com. 

Warren Napoleon Jones

SFC (Ret.) Warren Napoleon Jones, of Orlando, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2018 in the Orlando Regional Medical Center of Orlando, Florida.  He was 58 years old and a native of Panama City, Florida.  

Warren was born in Panama City, Florida to Everlene and Wintford Jones on July, 12, 1960. Baptized at an early age at Greater Friendship Baptist Church. He graduated from Bay High School in 1978.  He married Johnnie Green on March 25th, 1989 in Lecompte, Louisiana. He graduated from St. Louis University in 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Education. He worked as a Principal for Innovational Middle Charter School for over ten years. He was a veteran of the Gulf War and served in the United States Army for 21 years and was awarded a variety of metals and awards.  He was the Vice President of the Vette Masters Corvette Club of Florida and an active member at Parkview Christian Life Center. 

Warren Jones is preceded in death by his father, Wintford Jones; son, Warren N. Jones, and aunts, Odessa Kyles, Maebelle Brooks, and Virgina Jones.  

He is survived by his wife: Johnnie Jones; two (2) daughters: Meghan (Brannon) Papillion & Joannie Jones; mother: Everlene Jones; siblings: Billy Jones, Luverne (Wardell) Spearmen, Larry (Hattie) Jones, Dorothy (Ralph) Presley, Diane Duhart, Teresa (Kevin) Mathis, Sylvester Jones, Erick (J.Dia) Jones; along with a host of other relatives and friends.  

A Celebration of Warren’s life will be held 12 Noon CST, Thursday, September 20, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Greater Friendship Baptist Church of Panama City, Florida with pastor Elder James E. Russ, Bishop Johnny Causey, Bishop Lonnie Mitchell, Sr., Dr. Tammy Anderson and Rev. Woodrow Wilson, officiating.  Committal Services with Full Military Honors will take place 1 PM EST, Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery of Jacksonville, Florida with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing.     

Public viewing will be held 2 hours prior to services on Thursday at the church.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com. 

Sherry Millicent (Whitfield) Echols

Sherry Millicent (Whitfield) Echols, of Bonifay, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2018 in the Bay Medical Care Center of Panama City, Florida.  She was 67 years old and a native of Panama City, Florida. 

Sherry was born on October 24, 1950 to Mae Bell Williams and the late Henry Whitfield in Panama City.  She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church of Panama City and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with National Health Care for numerous years. 

She leaves to cherish her memories four (4) children:  Lashunda Edwards of Bonifay, Florida, Quennon Echols of Moorhead, Minnesota, Anthony Echols of Phoenix, Arizona, and Gemel Cook of Panama City, Florida; six (6) grandchildren and one (1) great- grandchild;  mother: Mae Bell Williams of Panama City, Florida; four (4) sisters: Carolyn Foster (Eugene), Cynthia Goode, both of Dallas, Texas, Doris McNabb (James) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Mavis Whitfield of Panama City, Florida;  three (3) brothers: Charles Whitfield of Long Beach, California, James Whitfield and Jerome Whitfield, both of Panama City, Florida;  along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

A Celebration of Sherry’s Life will be held 1 PM CST, Saturday, September 8, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church of Panama City, Florida with pastor, Rev. Michael Johnson, Elder Terry Whitehurst, Rev. David Rhone, Sr., and Rev. Barbara Brinson, officiating.  Committal Service will follow in the Hillside Cemetery with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing. 

Public viewing will be held 2 hours prior to services on Saturday at the church.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com.
