Julious C., “J.C.” Russ

Julious C., “J.C.” Russ  of Chipley, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2018 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital of Chipley, Florida.  He was 83 years old and a native of Jacob City, Florida. 

Julious was born on March 16, 1935 to the late Hester Walker in Jacob City, Florida.  He was a member of the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Jacob City, Florida and a lineman for the L&N Railroad Company. 

He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter: Paula Russ of Panama City, Florida; two (2) sons: Felix Russ of St. Louis, Missouri, and Leon (Brenda) Russ of Panama City, Florida; two (2) brothers: Maxie Walker and J.B. Walker, both of Jacob City, Florida; along with a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM CST, Saturday, August 4, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church with pastor, Rev. Tony Davis, Rev. Obadiah White, and Rev. Thomas Smith, officiating.  Committal Service will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery of Jacob City, Florida, with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing.  

The remains will lie in repose 1hr. prior to services at the church on Saturday.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipleycom.

Ray Julius Studdard

Ray Julius Studdard of Vernon, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2018 in the Bay Medical Covenant Hospice of Panama City, Florida.  He was 78 years old. 

Ray was born on July 27, 1940 to the late Julius and Dorothy (Adams) Studdard in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was a self-employed Auto Mechanic and was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church in Vernon, Florida. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Linda June Studdard of Vernon, Florida; three (3) daughters: Robin (David) Wachsman, Vicki (Keith) Andrews, both of Tampa, Florida and Kim Studdard of Vernon, Florida; six (6) grandchildren: Austin Wachsman, Samantha Wachsman, Savannah Andrews, Zachary Major, Kayla Jenkins, and Joseph Jenkins; brother: Daniel (Joann) Studdard of Texas; sister-in-law: Benny (Jim) Thomas of Tampa, Florida; along with a host of other relatives and friends. 

A Memorial Service remembering Ray’s life will be held 6PM CST, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Live Oak Baptist Church of Vernon, Florida.  Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida.

Jimmie Ivery, Jr.

Jimmie Ivery, Jr., of Tallahassee, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2018 in the Consulate Health Care of Tallahassee, Florida.  He was 69 years old and a native of Chipley, Florida. 

Jimmie was born on April 19, 1949 to the late Jimmie Ivery, Sr. and Maggie (Hodges) Ivery in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida.  Jimmie was employed and retired with Florida State University as a Building Maintenance Supervisor for over 30 years.  He later became a Chef at the Western Sizzle Steak House in Tallahassee, Florida.  

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 50 years: Eria Ivery of Tallahassee, Florida;  four (4) daughters: Kimberly (Adrian) Andrews of Havana, Florida, Monica (Keith) Clayton, Sherri Brown, both of Tallahassee, Florida, and Shareika (Charles) Reed of Seffner, Florida; one (1) son:  Jimmie Ivery III, of Tampa, Florida; 11 grandchildren; two (2) sisters: Shirley (Harry) Meek and Joyce (Johnny) Ivery-Lester, both of Boynton Beach, Florida; two (2) brothers: Washington (Dee) Ivery of Lake Worth, Florida, and Wayne (Barbara) Ivery of Tallahassee, Florida; mother-in-law: Minnie Bullock of Chipley, Florida; a special aunt: Frances Hodge; 2 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.   

A Celebration of Jimmie’s Life will take be held 11 AM EST, Saturday, July 28, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Tallahassee, Florida with pastor, Rev. Joseph Wright, Bishop Titus B. Deas, Jr., Rev. LaNorris D. McFadden, Rev. Edward Butler, and Rev. Carl Bullock, officiating.  Committal Services will be held approx. 2:30 PM CST in the Northside Cemetery of Chipley, Florida with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing.  

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 6-8 PM CST in the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.  The remains will lie in repose at the church on Saturday 2hrs. prior to services.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com. 

Nickalist Mares Lang, Jr.

Mr. Nickalist Mares Lang, Jr., 26 of Marianna, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017 in Cottondale, FL

Nick was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Marianna, FL under the leadership of Rev. Darryl Johnson.  He was a great and loving father to his kids. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend.  He loved the Florida Gators Football team. 

Nick had a true and deep love for his children: Ja’vonterius Maldonado of Marianna, FL and JaLeah Taylor of Cottondale, FL; he was raised and loved by his mother & step-father:  Caren Brown Smith of Atlanta, GA and Solomon Smith of Grand Ridge, FL; he also leaves to cherish and forever love him his father:  Nickalist Lang, Sr. of Marianna, FL; brother: Timothy Brown, Jr of Ebro FL; four (4) sisters:  Cierra Potter (Torrey) of Vernon, FL, Jasmine Brown of Atlanta, GA, Nicoreyah Lang and Sharnae Lang of Marianna, FL;  maternal grandmother:  the late Edith Brown-Brigham;  maternal grandfather:  Charles Robusky, Sr. of Birmingham, AL;  paternal grandmother:  Patricia Heatrice of Marianna, FL; paternal grandfather:  Charles Holden, Sr. of Marianna, FL;  paternal great-grandmother:  Dora Donalds of Marianna, FL; along with a host of aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, cousins, and many sorrowful friends.  

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 A.M CST, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the T.J. Roulhac Enrichment Center of Chipley, FL with Rev.  Darryl Johnson, officiating.  Committal Services will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery of Chipley, FL with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, FL, directing. 

Public Viewing for Mr. Lang will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5-9 P.M. CST in the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel of Chipley, FL.  Mr. Lang will lie in repose 1hr. prior to services On Saturday.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com.
