James Horace Cooper Jr.

James Horace Cooper Jr., age 38, went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2018 in Suwannee County.

JJ was born on February 11, 1980 in Mobile, Alabama to James Horace Cooper Sr. and Elizabeth McGuff Cooper. He had recently become an ordained pastor of the Pentecostal Faith. He was an avid outdoorsman and was known as a very loving person who cared deeply about his family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Catherine Roy; paternal grandmother: Cora Cooper.

He is survived by his mother: Elizabeth Cooper and husband Thomas Jackson of Cottondale, Florida; father: James Cooper Sr. and wife Janet of Mobile, Alabama; maternal grandfather: Bill McGuff of Mobile, Alabama; paternal grandfather: George Cooper of Mobile, Alabama son: Jared Elmore of Compass Lake, Florida; daughters: Alexis Cooper of Chipley, Florida, Kya Knapp of Mobile, Alabama; brothers: Christopher Cooper and fiance Sierra Tyus of Marianna, Florida, Anthony Cooper of Mobile, Alabama; sisters: Jaime Cooper and fiance Mitchell Rivera of Alford, Florida, Danielle Kightlinger of Greenwood, Mississippi, Alicia McCroan  and husband Jeremy of Sneads, Florida, Madison Cooper of Mobile, Alabama; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held in his honor 1P.M. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Obert Funeral Home in Chipley, Florida with Rev. Daniel Griffin officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Herman Bradley, Jr.

Herman Bradley, Jr. of Panama City, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2018 in the Bay Medical Covenant Hospice Unit of Panama City, Florida.  He was 61 years old. 

Herman was born on March 24, 1957 to Ernestine Bradley and the late Herman Bradley, Sr. in Panama City, Florida.  He was reared and attended  the Grove Temple First Born Church of Panama City, Florida and was an devout FSU fan.  

He is survived by his children: Karon Bradley and Sabrieka Bradley; six (6) grandchildren; mother: Ernestine Bradley, all of Panama City, Florida; siblings: Ronnie Wilkerson, Joyce Caldwell, David Bradley, all of Panama City, Florida, Diana Amerson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jacqueline Thornton of Ramstein, Germany, Christopher Bradley of Orlando Florida, and Sebrina Anglin of Alabama; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

A Celebration of Herman’s Life will be held 11 AM CST, Saturday, April 7, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Grove Temple First Born Church of Panama City, Florida with Pastor Clinton Brown, officiating.  Committal Services will follow in the Hillside Cemetery of Panama City, Florida with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing. 

The family will receive friends on 1hr prior to service on Saturday at the church with the Celebration of Life to follow.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com.

Eunice Altman

Mrs. Eunice Altman, of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her residence in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  She was 97 years old. 

Eunice was born on December 2, 1920 to the late Lee Benjamin Riley and Lola Brown in Vernon, Florida.  She was a faithful member of Hollywood Church of God In Christ serving until her health failed her. 

She is survived by her sister: Mary Williams Riley of Cleveland, Ohio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Eunice’s Life will be held 11 AM CST, Saturday, March 31, 2018 from the sanctuary of the Hollywood Church of God In Christ with Supt. Willie Sheffield, Pastor/Officiating.  Committal Services will follow in the Beal Memorial Cemetery, all of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing.

Nickalist Mares Lang, Jr.

Mr. Nickalist Mares Lang, Jr., 26 of Marianna, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017 in Cottondale, FL

Nick was baptized at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Marianna, FL under the leadership of Rev. Darryl Johnson.  He was a great and loving father to his kids. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and friend.  He loved the Florida Gators Football team. 

Nick had a true and deep love for his children: Ja’vonterius Maldonado of Marianna, FL and JaLeah Taylor of Cottondale, FL; he was raised and loved by his mother & step-father:  Caren Brown Smith of Atlanta, GA and Solomon Smith of Grand Ridge, FL; he also leaves to cherish and forever love him his father:  Nickalist Lang, Sr. of Marianna, FL; brother: Timothy Brown, Jr of Ebro FL; four (4) sisters:  Cierra Potter (Torrey) of Vernon, FL, Jasmine Brown of Atlanta, GA, Nicoreyah Lang and Sharnae Lang of Marianna, FL;  maternal grandmother:  the late Edith Brown-Brigham;  maternal grandfather:  Charles Robusky, Sr. of Birmingham, AL;  paternal grandmother:  Patricia Heatrice of Marianna, FL; paternal grandfather:  Charles Holden, Sr. of Marianna, FL;  paternal great-grandmother:  Dora Donalds of Marianna, FL; along with a host of aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews, cousins, and many sorrowful friends.  

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 A.M CST, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the T.J. Roulhac Enrichment Center of Chipley, FL with Rev.  Darryl Johnson, officiating.  Committal Services will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery of Chipley, FL with Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley, FL, directing. 

Public Viewing for Mr. Lang will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 5-9 P.M. CST in the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel of Chipley, FL.  Mr. Lang will lie in repose 1hr. prior to services On Saturday.  Friends may sign the guestbook online at www.cooperfhchipley.com.
