Lewie Frank Carroll

Lewie Frank Carroll age 85 of Graceville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home. He was born in Houston County Alabama on September 15, 1933 to the late Edgar Lewie and Mary Etta Carroll. Lewie graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1951 and then worked and retired from the United States Postal Service after thirty years of service. Lewie was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Graceville. He was also an active member of the Lions Club for many years and enjoyed fishing. 

Lewie was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Evelyn Peel. He is survived by his loving wife Mable Carroll of sixty-six years; sister, Margaret Doratha Howell and 3 generations of many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Lewie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 in the First Baptist Church of Graceville. A private family burial will be held later. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Graceville (987 8th Ave, Graceville, FL 32440).

Mildred M. Bruner

Mildred M. Bruner age 95 of Graceville passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018. She was born on February 13, 1923 to the late John Arch and Maude Sweat Mitchell. Mildred was a lifelong resident of Graceville and a member of Galilee United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a hard worker.

 Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel “Scud” Z. Bruner; one infant son and son, James Bruner; great-granddaughter, Kenley Rae Bruner; one brother, Robert Mitchell; two sisters, Helen Ivey and Ruby Nell Mitchell. 

Mildred is survived by her children, Joe Bruner and Carolyn Powell (Fred); daughter n law, Kathy Bruner and sister n law, Mary Lee Mitchell. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in the Galilee United Methodist Church in Graceville with Rev. Dallas Pettis and Pat Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Margaret “Margie” Agnes Sims

Margaret “Margie” Agnes Sims age 86 of Graceville passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her home. She was born in Rhode Island on October 29, 1931. Margie has lived in Graceville for the past 66 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graceville. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and watching Little League Baseball.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; James E. Spelman and Gladys Carter Spelman; husband, Jim Sims Sr. and son Jim Sims Jr. She is survived by her sons; David Sims, Charles Sims (Twila) and Steve Sims (Donna); daughters, LuAnne Arnold (Ricardo Melendez) and Dianna Garcia (Daniel); grandchildren, Greg Arnold (Terre(, Kevin Arnold (Georgia), Derrick Arnold (Amy), Colby Sims, Darah Tisdale (Justin), Brandon Ducker, and Justin Ducker (Tiffany); great Grandchildren, Chase Arnold (Dara), Andrea Arnold, Brantley Arnold, Emma Kate Arnold, Wiley Beachamp (Meghan), Jon Beachamp (Kendra), Alexis Ducker, Alivia Ducker, Zane Ducker, and Della O’Brian; great-great grandchildren, Fenton Beachamp, Annabella Beachamp, and Bristol Beachamp. 

Funeral services for Margie will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Williams Funeral Home.
