Ms. Lela Marie Douglas, age 68 of Campbellton, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 08, 2019, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. She was born in Haddock, Georgia on July 01, 1950 to the late Nelson Balkcom and Mildred Choates. She was a member of the Holy Temple Church of Campbellton, FL. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hinson Cemetery in Graceville, FL. Ms. Douglas is survived by her husband, Milton Douglas Sr. of Campbellton, five daughters; April Martin (David) of Manassas, VA, Angelia Sakyz-Agyekum (Owusu) of Ft. Myers, FL, Rachael Douglas of Jacksonville, FL, LaChrista Douglas of Campbellton, FL and Marieta Collins (Deronne) of Ft. Hood, TX; six sons; Milton Douglas Jr. (Angela) of Atlanta, GA, Erick Douglas (Teresa) of Ft. Meade, MD, Michael Douglas of Tallahassee, FL, Alton Douglas of Jacksonville, FL, Jamie Douglas of Campbellton, FL and Keith Douglas of Graceville, FL; one brother; Theodore Balkcom of Millegeville, GA; three sisters; Dotsie Patterson, Beautie Liggins and Inez Sanford all of Millegeville, GA, nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Jesse James Laster, Sr., age 67, of Graceville, FL went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2019, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Marylynn Laster; his children: James Laster (Jennifer), Darnell Laster (Kadene), Tim Laster (Beatrice), Jesse James Laster, Jr. (Rodricka), Antwon Laster and Tony Tyrone Laster; stepchildren: Devon Knox and Nikki Knox; siblings: Robert Laster, Johnny Laster (Doris), Chester Laster (Evella), Elease Dixon (Ernest), Frank J. Laster (Cynthia), Jerry Laster (Christy), Donna Hayes (Edward) and Bernard Laster; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 3-6 PM, Friday, June 14, 2019, in the M. Sue and Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, 5441 Cooper Street, Graceville, Florida.
Celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 15, 2019 from the sanctuary of New Easter Missionary Baptist Church in Graceville, FL with the Reverend Earnest T. Parker, pastor and Elder James M. Bighem, eulogist.
Mr. Laster will be laid to rest in the Graceville Community Cemetery in Graceville, under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, FL.
Mr. David Earl Mack, age 57, of Graceville, FL went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2019 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida with his family at his bedside.
He was native of Jackson County, FL, formerly employed at Dozier School for Boys, Sunland Center of Marianna and currently Dollar General Distribution Center in Marianna, FL.
He was born November 12, 1967 in Graceville, Florida to Carolyn Mack and the late Claymond “Red” Mack.
He received his former education at Graceville High School and served his country in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge.
He was preceded in death by his father; aunt: France Green and a uncle, Johnny Miller Green and father-in-law: John Davis Walker.
He is survived by his loving mother, Carolyn Mack; grandmother: Johnnie Mae Smith; siblings: James E. Mack, Sara Mack, Pearl (Willie) Kirkland, Sr., Mattie Mack (Willie Smith) all of Graceville, Florida, Carolyn Mack of Tampa, Florida, Debbie Reco Haugbook; loving nieces: Sabrina Kirkland, Pedria Johnson (Andrew) and sons, Jeremiah and Demetrius; nephews: Carlos Bowden (Trimekeia) and son, Jaylin, Willie James Kirkland, Jr. and son, Malachi; aunts and uncles: Mattie Ree Daniels (Ulysses), Lois Smith, Alice Scott, Ruby Smith, Emma Adams, Lily Jett (Ernest), Virginia Green and Jimmy L. He will be laid to rest in the Graceville Community Cemetery, with military honors, under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
