Harley Shianne Hussey

Harley Shianne Hussey, age 19 of Marianna, passed from this life on April 1, 2019 at Jackson Hospital.

Harley was born on November 30, 1999 in Sioux City, Iowa to Doug Hussey and Sandra Patrick. She was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle and enjoyed spending time outdoors mudding and riding four wheelers.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Iven Hussey and Jimmy Patrick.

She is survived by her father: Doug Hussey of Marianna, Florida; mother: Sandra Patrick of Grand Ridge, Florida; paternal grandmother: Alice Louise Burkett of Texas; maternal grandmother: Brenda Porter of Marianna, Florida; four brothers: Jonathan Hussey of Blountstown, Florida, Joseph Ranew and wife Leanna of Cypress, Florida, Justin Tomlinson of Cypress, Florida, Jeremy Hussey of Marianna, Florida; two sisters: Taryn Hussey and husband Leo Alaniz of Marianna, Florida, Skylar Ranew of Marianna, Florida.

Funeral service will be held 6P.M. Monday, April 8, 2019 at Lighthouse Community Church in Marianna, Florida with Rev. Ellis Vickery officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request monetary donations be made to Obert Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.

Harold J. Pate

Harold J. Pate, age 72 of Cottondale, passed from this life on March 12, 2019 at Flower’s Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

Harold was born on September 8, 1946 in Panama City, Florida to J.D. and Toby Ramer Pate. He was lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lou Ettie Pate of Cottondale, Florida; sons: George Pate and wife Ronda of Molino, Florida, Daniel Pate of Cottondale, Florida; daughter: Connie Corbin and husband Phillip of Cottondale, Florida; brothers: Donnie Pate of Tallahassee, Florida, Herman Pate of Fountain, Florida, Phillip Pate of Tallahassee, Florida, Hester Pate of Chipley, Florida; sisters: Judy Fritz of Fountain, Florida, Sybal Lollie of Apalachicola, Florida; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Cottondale, Florida with Rev. Jack Brock officiating. Interment will follow in Cottondale Assembly of God Cemetery with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing. 

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to Cottondale Lodge No. 206, P.O. Box 528, Cottondale, Florida 32431

Donald Wayne Hawk

Donald Wayne Hawk, age 75 of Chipley, passed from this life on February 18, 2019 in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by his loving family. 

Wayne was born on July 26, 1943 in Chipley, Florida to Parker W. and Viola Snyder Hawk. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, Wayne served in the Army National Guard before going to work for the Florida Department of Transportation where he retired after 30 + years. Upon retirement he then went to work for Allen Nobles Surveying in Tallahassee. An avid outdoorsman, you could often find him on the creek with a bream buster in hand fishing or watching his favorite team, FSU. He will be remembered as a very loving and generous man. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Chipley.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Parker W. and Viola Hawk; brother: Charles Kenneth Hawk.

He is survived by his two sons: Chris Hawk and wife Jill of Dothan, Alabama, Jason Hawk and wife Brenda of Chipley, Florida; one brother: Jack Hawk of Pearland, Texas; one sister: Gina Hawk Metcalf and husband Dale of Chipley, Florida; three grandchildren. 

Graveside funeral service will be held 11A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing. 

The family will receive friends for visitation from 10-11A.M. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Obert Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Diabetes Research Institute at www.diabetesresearch.org.
