Renard G. Herrera Traina

Mr. Renard G. Herrera Traina of Marinna, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Mr. Traina was born on January 27, 1952 in New York, New York to Lillian Wanek Traina.

A memorial service for Mr. Traina will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Sunland Chapel, 3966 Williams Drive, Marianna, Florida 32446.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, mother and father Sam Traina and Lillian Traina of Stony Point, NY, two sisters Ronna Smath and Fran Furia both of Stony Point, NY, and a host of Sunland staff.

Edna Sue Roland

Edna Sue Roland age 72 of Marianna passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 in Jackson Hospital.  Edna was born on October 16, 1946 in Georgia. She has lived in Marinna for the past twenty years moving here from Quincy. She was of holiness faith and loved going to church. Edna also enjoyed playing BINGO.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Willey and Niza Lee Ellis, husband Donniel Roland, two children, sister JoAnn Hickox, brothers Thomas Ellis, Jim Ellis, and Glenn Ellis. 

Edna is survived by her brother Homer Ellis, many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Services for Edna will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 31, 2019  in the Marianna Chapel Funeral with Rev. Dallas Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Grand Ridge. The family will receive family one hour prior to service.

William Robert “Billy” Daffin

William Robert “Billy” Daffin age 83 of Marianna passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Jackson Hospital.  Billy was born on February 21, 1935 in Cottondale, Florida to the late William Robert”Buster”, Sr. and Mozelle Reynolds Daffin. He was a native of Jackson County and was a veteran of the United States AirForce. Billy worked for the Marianna Fire Department for twenty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Billy is survived by his son William Robert Daffin, IV and wife Cheryl of Grand Ridge, Florida, two daughters Rita Kay Williams and husband Lummie P. of Marianna, Darla Renee Lipford and special friend Kenny Harden of Marianna, two brothers Thomas L. Daffin and wife Betty of Tennessee, Kenneth Daffin and wife Gail of Cottondale, nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. 

Services for Billy will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the Marinna Chapel Funeal Home with Rev. Ellis Vickery officiating. Interment will follow in the First Untied Methodist Church of Cottondale with military honors. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home  from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
