Roycell Bellamy

Roycell Bellamy Roycell Bellamy

Mr. Roycell Bellamy, affectionately called Bo Hickie, of Cottondale, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 21st at Jackson Hospital.  He was 76 years old.

A native of Cottondale, he was of the Baptist faith and a member of the St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator before retiring.

He leaves a lifetime of love and cherished memories with five brothers, Walter Bellamy Sr. and wife Pensula, William Bellamy and wife Blondie, Marshall White, Roshell Bellamy all of Cottondale, Florida and Lemuel Bellamy of Hartford, Connecticut; four sisters, Eula Dell Speights, Lurie Jean Bellamy, Oretha White all of Cottondale, Florida and Gloria Henderson and husband Carl of Jacob City, Florida; special friend, Linda Decker of Cottondale, Florida; special cousin, Eva Long; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, September 30th at 11a.m. at Henshaw African Methodist Episcopal Church where Rev. Laurence Gantt is Pastor and Rev. David Green, Rev. Marvin Henderson, Evangelist Samuel Gray and Min. Barbara White officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethlehem African Methodist Espicopal Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.

The remains will lie in repose on Saturday at Henshaw Chapel for one hour prior to the 11a.m. funeral time.
