Life began for Brian Eugene Poole, loving called ‘Dinky’ of Cottondale, Florida on November 8, 1978 in Marianna, Florida to Mae Rhynes and Michael Poole. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 9th in Tallahassee, Florida.
He accepted Christ into his life at a very young age and joined Bethlehem African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Dinky attended the public schools of Jackson County and was a graduate of Marianna High School Class of 1997. He furthered his education obtaining certification in Electrical Engineering and Corrections. He worked as a Licensed Electrian and Corrections Officer.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Wesley Gardner; a brother, Lamond Poole and a sister, Latarsha Pittman.
Precious memories will forever remain with his wife, Marquita Poole of Cottondale, Florida; three children, Iyana Brown, Brianna Poole and Bryce Poole; his mother, Mae Rhynes of Cottondale, Florida, his father, Michael Poole of New York; honorary dad, Monroe Rhynes of Marianna, Florida; ten siblings, Carla Rhynes (James) of Chipley, Florida, Cherrika Thomas (David) of Marianna, Florida, Kim Poole of Marianna, Florida, Melissa Poole of Tallahassee, Florida, Shaneika Lovett (Demetri) of Marianna, Florida, Victoria Jackson (David) of Tallahassee, Florida, Krystal Knox (Terrell) of Tallahassee, Florida, William Poole (Laquanda) of Gainesville, Florida, Shandrell Poole of Greenwood, Florida and Latrecia Jackson of Tallahassee; his godmother, Judy Sims of Greenwood, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A homegoing celebration for Dinky’s life will be held Saturday, October 20th at 11:00p.m. at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Obediah White is the Pastor/Teacher, and Rev. Carl Hill, Min. John Holland and Min. James Rhynes will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
The remains will lie-in-repose for one hour prior to the 11a.m. funeral time on Saturday at St. Mary.
