Johnny Louis Peace

Johnny Louis Peace Johnny Louis Peace

Mr. Johnny Louis Peace of Marianna, Florida entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 10th.  He was 73 years old.

 He was of a graduate of the Jackson County Training School.  Upon graduation, he joined the United States Marines, serving a tour of duty before reciving an Honorable Discharge.  He was of the Methodist faith and a member of Jerusalem African Methodist Episcopal Church.

 Precious memories will forever remain with his daughter, Nancy Morton of Marianna, Florida; one grandson, DeShaun Bowers of Marianna, Florida; one brother, Don Peace of Marianna, Florida; three sisters, Jennifer Pittman and husband Otis of Marianna, Florida, Bobbie Dixon of Cottondale, Florida and Deloris Merritt of Miami, Florida; four uncles, Lewis Peace of Chicago, Illinois, Pedro Peace of Tampa, Florida, Mose Merritt and wife Eloise of Miami, Florida and Alex Merritt and wife Sherry of Spokane, Washington; two aunts, Clara Cargill of Louisville, Kentucky and Lena Jenkins of Tampa, Florida; special niece and caregiver, Chrystal Pittman of Marianna, Florida; two special cousins, Ruby Keel and Doris White both of Marianna, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, May 19th at 11a.m. at Jerusalem African Methodist Episcopal Church with Pastor Carlos Redding, Rev. Andrea McGlockton and Rev. Charles Flowers officiating.  Memorialization will be by cremation with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna, Florida.

 The remains will lie-in-repose for one hour prior to the 11a.m. funeral time on Saturday at Jerusalem.
