Rock Craze to benefit Sydney Holland Memorial Scholarship Featured

Rock Craze to benefit Sydney Holland Memorial Scholarship

The “Rock Craze” has hit Jackson County.  The Jackson County Times wanted to take the Rock Craze one step further.   This Sunday, the Jackson County Times will hide 25 rocks with JCT painted on them.  On the back of each rock will be a number 1 through 25.  The rocks will be placed around Marianna on property that will not need to be searched or destroyed to find them.  As each rock is found, the finder is to bring it to the TIMES office at 2866 Madison Street.  We will place pictures of the found painted rocks on our website (www.jacksoncountytimes.net) and on our Jackson County Times Facebook page.  Each ‘finder’s’ name will be placed in a glass bowl and on August 14, a grand prize winner will be drawn.  The winner will receive $200 for their efforts.  The Jackson County Times will present Chipola College with a $500 check for the Sydney Holland Memorial Scholarship.

Head out this Sunday afternoon and start looking for those 25 special Jackson County Rocks!  We will publish clues as to where they can be found throughout the TIMES each week until all are found.

The TIMES appreciates its sponsors who so graciously agreed to co-sponsor this event.
