Grand Ridge Woman Dies In I-10 Wreck

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Alisa Danielle Humphrey, 23, of Grand Ridge died in an accident on I-10 west of State Road 286 Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 2:40 AM

A 2011 Peterbuilt Semi, driven by Joe M. Harris, 48, of Borger TX was traveling east on I-10.  The semi was stopped in the outside emergency lane east of the weigh station driveway.

The 2008 Kia Optima, driven by Humphrey, was traveling eastbound in the outside lane when the semi began moving eastbound attempted to merge into traffic into the path of the Kia.  Humphrey did not have an opportunity to avoid the semi which resulted in the front portion of the Kia striking the semi's left rear trailer corner.

Alisa Humphrey was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.  Charges are pending investigation.
