Fatal Car Crash in Grand Ridge

Fatal Car Crash in Grand Ridge

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that an early morning crash took the life of a 23 year old Grand Ridge man on May 4, 2015.

A 2006 Mitsubishi driven by Juquan Jerome Goodson, 23, of Grand Ridge was traveling south on SR 69 at a high rate of speed and lost control inside a right hand curve. The vehicle traveled into the west ditch rotating clockwise and impacting a concrete power pole where it came to rest.

Juquan Jerome Goodson was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jackson County Fire and Rescue. A passenger in the vehicle, Dequantaye Jerod Burns, 23, of Sneads was transported to Jackson Hospital in serious condition.

Neither victim was wearing a seatbelt.
