After many years of service to Jackson County and the state of Florida, Gina Stuart has stepped down from the Republican State Committeewoman position. Stuart has worked on many campaigns over the past 26 years including Bob Dole, George H W Bush, George W Bush, Jeb Bush, John McCain, Rick Scott, Marti Coley, Brad Drake and Steve Southerland as well as Republican candidates to the Cabinet.
“It has been a learning experience for me and I have enjoyed the interaction with the Governor's Office as well as our State Representative’s Office” Stuart said.
“Due to personal matters I feel it is in my best interest to resign." Stuart explained. "I cannot begin to tell you how much I will miss being involved locally, district wide, statewide and nationally. Thank you for giving me these wonderful years.”
The Republican Executive Committee selected Alice Pate, to fill the vacant position of State Committeewoman until the next election. Committeemen and women are elected for four year terms at the first primary of the Presidential election year by registered Republican electors within the county.
