Graceville Artist’s Work to be on Display At Chipola College Center for the Arts
Graceville artist Keith Martin Johns will display original works highlighting the natural beauty and culture of Florida in an exhibition in the Chipola College Center for the Arts, Jan. 16 through Feb. 14.
For more than thirty years, Johns has painted exquisite and timeless landscapes filled with wildlife and birds from the backwaters of rivers and creeks to wetlands and coastal beaches. His Florida collection of more than 350 images has been a lifetime endeavor to capture the worth, value and expression of the familiar Florida background in which this fourth generation native grew up.
Johns’ work also represents the pioneer spirit of people who forged out agriculture in the citrus, fishing, cracker cattle and horse industry. He operates a gallery in Graceville. More information and photos are available at www.keithmartinjohns.com
The exhibit opening coincides with the January 16 Chipola Artist Series event: Harpist Anna Maria Mendieta. Viewing also is available by appointment by calling 850-718-2277.
