The quarterly dutch-treat luncheon for the faculty and staff of the old Marianna High School will be held at the Gazebo on Tuesday, March 19 at 11 a.m.

Sexual Assault Survivors Group - hosted by Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program for ages 18 and above first & third Thursdays of each month in 2018. Location: Gulf Coast SAP Program office 2901 Madison St., Marianna from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Refreshments provided.  The purpose of this group is to provide support for adult survivors of sexual assault and those who were sexually abused as children. Survivors will be provided an atmosphere that helps them gain an understanding about sexual assault and how it has affected their lives. This group will create an empowering environment where participants can learn new coping skills, identify personal goals and build relationships. Few, if any, books have captured the spirit and colorful history of Florida as Patrick Smith’s beloved novel, A Land Remembered. Get to know the author and his work as his son, Rick, takes the stage to delight audiences with a stunning multimedia show about his father and the extraordinary experiences which enabled him to write timeless stories about Florida and its inhabitants. Astronomy for Everyone: Size and Scale of the Universe---7:00 p.m.---Jackson County Public Library, 2929 Green Street, Marianna. Join us for this family-friendly presentation, learning more about the beauty and harmony of the universe. Astronomy for Everyone: Size and Scale of the Universe explores the universe from the very small to the very large. It’s a virtual journey throughout the cosmos. Following the presentation, the audience will go outdoors to view the rings of Saturn, craters on the moon, etc. (weather permitting) through a powerful, hand-crafted telescope.
