Riverside Elementary – We Will Never Forget

Mrs. Alison Williams and her Riverside Elementary 3rd grade class. Mrs. Alison Williams and her Riverside Elementary 3rd grade class.

Mrs. Alison Williams is a third-grade teacher at Riverside Elementary School.

She is a huge supporter of law enforcement, firefighters, and para-medics.  She readily acknowledges the impor-

tance of the work they do and that they put their life on the line every day.  She incorporates the roles they take on in her teachings, most especially around September 11.

For the past 11 years, Williams has taught her students about the events that took place on 9/11/01.  Each year, her class can be seen carrying out a project expressing their remembrance of that event.

This year her class made a handprint banner and displayed it at the Marianna Fire Station as a reminder that they have not forgotten the sacrifices made on that day.
