Donnie Leon Pittman

Mr. Donnie Leon Pittman, affectionately called ‘Pitt Fighter’ of Mariannaa, Florida entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 4th at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Fl.. He was 59 years of age.

A native of Jackson County, he was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Gailiee Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired disabled veteran.

A lifetime of love and precious memories will forever linger with his devoted family; daughter, Keisha Pressley (Eric); brothers, David Pittman (Debra), Clarence Pittman Jr., Danny Spires, Christopher Pittman (Yolanda), Jurden Sims and little brother Carlton; sisters, Linda Bullard Courtland), Joanne Steele (David), Lois Pittman, Lola Mae Dempsey (Earlie), Curlean Townsend (Rudolph), Ethel Faison (Willie), Angela Sims, Patricia ‘Peaches’ Sims; grandchildren; special friend, Rowena Poole; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A solemn farewell was held Saturday, September 8th at 3p.m. at New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Daryl Britt, Rev. Dr. Ernest Only, Rev. Samuel Everett and Rev. Eddie E. Bowers officiated. Interment followed with military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard in Panama City.

Final arrangements were entrusted to the Caring Staff of Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
