Moses Jordan

Mr. Moses Jordan, age 87, of Marianna, Florida departed this life on June 2, 2008 in Jackson Hospital.

He was a member of Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the City of Marianna.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 9, 2008 at Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. L.L. Brooks, Rev. Milas Poole and Rev. George Williams officiating. Interment followed at the Orange Hill Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Lillie Ruth Blount Jordan of Marianna, Florida. Two sons: Cleveland Jordan (Bertha) of Chicago, Illinois and Jimmy Young (Frances) of Pinkard, Alabama. Three daughters: Betty Williams (Bruce) of Oakland, California; Sarah Vida Maddox of Los Angeles, California and Nova McKenzie (Jacob) of Austin, Texas. Thirty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
