Deacon Leo Davies

Deacon Leo Davies of 3139 Easy Path Road in Marianna went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 24th the Jackson Hospital, Marianna, FL. He was 91 and a member of Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church of Marianna.

He served as a Deacon at his church for over forty years, and a retiree from Jackson County Road and Bridge Department.

Deacon Davies is survived by his children, Pamra Davies of Marianna, FL and James Leroy Davies (Hillguard) of Germany; a sister, Estella Cope of Tampa, FL; eleven grandchildren; one adopted grandchild; sixteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; four great-great-great grandchildren; four adopted god-children; numerous othter relatvies and friends.

A home going celebration took place on Saturday, September 4th, 12 Noon atthe Bethel Star Missioanry Baptist Church, 4134 Lincoln, Marianan, FL with the Reverend George Bowers pastor/officiating. He was laid to rest in the Saint John Cemetery in Marianna, Fl under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, FL.
