Chief Hayes Baggett To Qualify for Re-Election

The qualification period for City of Marianna elections begins at noon on Monday, February 20 and ends at noon on Friday, February 24. Current Police Chief Hayes Baggett has announced his intent to be first in line when this process begins. "I am proud of the organization we have in the department and the work we are doing," states Chief Baggett. "I hope the voters in the City of Marianna will let us continue this work."

Baggett is the son of Marianna residents Robert and Gerry Baggett, his wife, Amber, works in court administration at the court house. Hayes is a graduate of Marianna High School class of 1981.

"The motto of my administration is 'Because Marianna Matters', and that slogan defines our mission," Baggett explains. "My door is always open to anyone who wants to talk to me about any problem."
