As family, friends and co-workers approached Marianna Chapel Funeral home on Monday morning the first thing they noticed was a huge American Flag draped over the entrance. Employees from Florida Public Utilities (FPU) were honoring lineman Woody Hall, who passed away Friday. Woody had a heart full of love for family, fun, FPU, hunting and a love for his country. He worked nearly twenty years for FPU and everyone spoke highly of him. Woody was a hard worker, made sure the job was complete and completed correctly and when others were running in from the storm he routinely headed into the storm when needed. After Woody’s death fellow linemen, office employees and administrators of FPU all pitched in to help the family by trimming the lawn, delivering food and supplies to the house and then handling the meal after the services. These fellow employees were Woody’s extended family and were on hand to assist in any way possible including being there for support. Fellow linemen were honored to hoist the American flag between two FPU bucket trucks in honor of Woody.
Charles “Woody” Woodrow Hall will be dearly missed in the weeks, months and years to come. Woody leaves behind his loving wife Kim and two adorable children Jeorgia and Jacob. He will also be missed by the rest of his family, friends and co-workers. There is a void in the linemen crew at FPU that will never be replaced.
