Washington Today, Congressman Diane Black (R-TN-06) issued the following statement in response to the letter Governor Rick Scott (R-FL) sent to Congressional leaders citing privacy concerns in the Obamacare "Navigator" program:
"I commend Governor Scott for bringing attention to this important issue," said Congressman Black. "The unprecedented access these Obamacare 'Navigators' will be given to Americans' private records present staggering opportunities for fraud and abuse. With as little as 20 hours of training and no federal requirement for background checks, these individuals will gain access to Americans' most sensitive personal information. This is reckless and why I have introduced legislation that would put a stop to this misuse of federal tax dollars."
